These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of services offered on mrosh.org. The seller and provider of all services is MROSH Consulting LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”, “us”). By booking or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide live online Mandarin Chinese lessons for adults and children (one-on-one and small group), online intensive programs, and consulting on studying in China, as described on our Pricing page. All services are delivered online by video call (Zoom or Google Meet). Nothing is shipped.
2. Free trial lesson
- Each new learner may receive one free trial lesson. No payment or card details are required, and there is no obligation to buy anything afterwards.
- We may decline repeat trial requests.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars (USD) and are shown on our Pricing page — for example, adult lessons $25 per 60-minute lesson, the 4-week intensive $300, and kids lessons from $15 per 25-minute lesson.
- Payment is by credit or debit card through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Single lessons, packages, intensives and consulting are paid in full at purchase. They are not subscriptions and do not renew.
- For “price on request” services, we send a written quote by email before any payment.
- You receive a payment confirmation by email. An order is accepted once payment is completed.
4. Kids lessons — monthly subscription
- Kids lessons are a monthly subscription that renews automatically. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your card, through Stripe, the monthly price of your plan on the same date each month until you cancel. The price and billing date are shown before you confirm.
- We email a reminder a few days before each monthly charge, stating the amount and date.
- You may cancel anytime, with no fee, by emailing mail@mrosh.org or using our subscription management page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; lessons continue until then and no further charges are made.
- If we change a subscription price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you may cancel before then.
5. Scheduling, rescheduling and package validity
- Within 1 business day after payment or a trial request, we email you to schedule.
- You may reschedule or cancel a lesson free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. With less notice, or if the learner does not join within 15 minutes of the start time, the lesson counts as delivered.
- Lessons in a package (including the 10-lesson pack and the intensive) are valid for 6 months from purchase.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will tell you as early as possible and offer a new time or a refund for that lesson.
- You are responsible for a working device and internet connection.
6. Refunds
Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: unused prepaid lessons are fully refundable within 14 days of purchase, and a kids subscription can be cancelled anytime.
7. Lessons for children
- Lessons for learners under 18 are booked and paid for by a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on the child’s behalf.
- For children under 7, we recommend that an adult is at home during the lesson.
- We collect information only from the parent or guardian. See our Privacy Policy.
8. Conduct and recording
Learners and teachers agree to behave respectfully. We may end a lesson and stop providing services in cases of abusive behavior; unused prepaid lessons will then be refunded. Lessons may not be recorded without the consent of all participants.
9. Results and consulting
We prepare learners for exams such as HSK, YCT and AP Chinese but cannot guarantee a particular score. Consulting on studying in China is general information, not legal, tax, financial or immigration advice. Admission and scholarship decisions are made by universities and scholarship bodies, and we do not guarantee any result.
10. Lesson materials
Materials we provide are for your personal, non-commercial use and may not be redistributed without our permission.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute arises, please email us first — most issues can be solved quickly and informally.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
